When I first met Seas he
was a 5 year old Thoroughbred gelding.
Seas' right hind hoof was
in bad shape - over grown and chipped. He had thrown the shoe
but the nails are still imbedded in the hoof wall.
Cleaning the underside each
hoof is an important step to restoring and maintaining hoof
health.
Seas walked off sound after
his first trim.
He still has some flares to grow out,
but he'll do just fine barefoot. Yes, even thoroughbreds can
go barefoot.
